Real Schools Parent Information Session

We Are inviting all parents/carers to an information session hosted by Paul Blinkhoff from "Real Schools". This will be a powerful and informative session that should not be missed.

What is Real Schools?

Heathmont College has recently partnered with "Real Schools". Real Schools exists to build partnerships and experiences to help schools achieve their potential in three key areas; committed teachers, caring students and connected communities. Paul Blinkhoff has been working with Heathmont College and now invites you for a Parent Information Session.

What will be Covered?

• How do we ensure Heathmont College’s teachers and parents are on the same page?
• How do we work together to mould young people for today and tomorrow?
• How can we use the same strategies to manage behaviour, encourage responsibility, and improve the chances of success?

They seem like outrageously big questions, don’t they? And they are… but they do have answers. Unfortunately, too often parents and schools are not on the same page when it comes to answering them. Heathmont College wants to do something about that, and has commenced a partnership with Real Schools to make it happen. But the school can’t do it alone. That’s why we need you at this critical event in the history of your school and the future of your children.

During the session, we will:

1. Tell you all about the Restorative Practices Partnership that the school is embarking on.
2. Ask for your input.
3. Provide you with strategies to use immediately in your parenting …the same strategies your teachers are using now.
4. Learn how to respond, rather than react, to your child’s behaviour.
5. Share the best ways to build a meaningful partnership with your school.
