Crime & Politics

On Tuesday 26th March Mrs Graham’s Year 9/10 Crime and Politics elective class went on an excursion to the Maroondah City Council at Realm in Ringwood Town Square in preparation for their ‘Politics’ unit in Term 2. To help them understand the 100+ services that Council provides they heard from the Mayor and Council staff who work in Local Laws, Community Services, Governance, Planning and Biz Hub. 

They also had a lovely afternoon tea, a tour of Ringwood Library and saw some phenomenal street art pieces in ‘The Backyard’ with Arts and Culture staff. Thanks to Council for having us and well done to the students for asking some fantastic questions and expanding their knowledge and understanding of our local civic environment.
