Visual Arts

It has been a busy and exciting time in the Visual Arts. While exploring the elements of Art, students have been applying this knowledge into their major Art project.

Foundation

Foundation students have been exploring the elements of Colour/Line and applying their knowledge of the elements into making their ‘Colour/Line Monsters’.

Year 1 & 2

Year 1 & 2 students have been exploring the elements of colour through the colour wheel. Students made a variety of projects including ‘The colour wheel eye’ and ‘the colour wheel umbrella’.

Year 3 & 4

Year 3 & 4 students have been exploring the works of Wassily Kandinsky. They have been employing their knowledge of the elements of ‘Line, Colour, Space and Shape’ into making their ‘Kandinsky Trees’ and ‘Kandinsky Composition’.

Year 5 & 6

Year 5 & 6 have been exploring all of the elements of Art and have applied their knowledge into their ‘Hand project’. Students incorporated black line markers and watercolour to highlight their pieces.
