Dear Families,
It is with great pride and pleasure that we share the 2025 NAPLAN results for Keelonith Primary School.
We are incredibly proud of the results, which reflect the dedication and hard work of our students and staff across all areas of the curriculum. Notably, our Year 3 students performed above the average of our local network schools in all five NAPLAN domains. Our Year 5 cohort achieved above the local network in three out of five areas and equal in one.
While we remain committed to continuous improvement, today is a moment to celebrate the achievements of our students and the incredible effort of our teaching staff.
Prep – 100 Days of School
Today we celebrated a very special milestones, 100 days of school for our Prep students. Congratulations to all our youngest learners on reaching this exciting moment!
Three-Way Conferences
Thank you to all the families who participated in our Three-Way Conferences. It was a joy to see students proudly share their learning. If you were unable to attend, please contact your child’s teacher to arrange an alternative time, our children really love to share their learning growth with you.
Art Show
We hope everyone enjoyed the Art Show held during the conference day. Our talented students displayed beautiful and creative artworks, thoughtfully curated by Ms. Nikilona and Ms. Brookie. Thank you to all who attended and supported the event.
Preventing and Addressing Racism in Schools
At Keelonith Primary School, we are proud of the rich cultural diversity within our community. We are committed to building an inclusive, respectful, and safe environment where every child feels valued and supported.
While the vast majority of student interactions reflect these values, we have had a small number of incidents involving inappropriate and racist language. These behaviours, while limited, are taken seriously. We are actively addressing them through education, conversation, and reinforcement of our school values.
Our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum plays a vital role in helping students understand and embrace diversity, inclusion, and respectful behaviour. Book Week Parade – Date Change
Due to a scheduling conflict with District Athletics (in which 50 of our students will be participating), our Book Week Parade will now take place in Week 6, on Friday 29th August at 9:10am.
This year’s theme is “Book an Adventure”. Families are warmly invited to attend and take part in the celebration.
Thank You
On behalf of the Principal Team, Sam, Jane, and myself, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all the families, students, and staff who shared kind words and gestures today. It is our privilege to lead KPS and to be part of every child parent and teacher’s learning journey.
