Principal Report

A report from Principal Tyson Smith

As we head into the final days of Term 3, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on what has been a huge term, despite only being nine weeks long. We’ve celebrated 100 Days of Prep, Book Week, the Spelling Bee, 3/4 Camp, our 100th Birthday, the Art Show, and lots more, all on top of the regular high-quality teaching and learning program across the school. Congratulations to everyone on another fantastic term of excellence.

Art Show

The Art show was a huge success on Wednesday 17th of September. A big thank you to Nikki and all staff who helped make our Art Show such a success. Another big thank you to all the students who were able to showcase their amazing artwork to our whole school community, you should all be so proud of yourselves. While it was a more relaxed Art show than in previous years, it created a warm, social, and friendly atmosphere, which was ideal.

100th Birthday Celebration

On Thursday, 11 September, we were delighted to celebrate Aberfeldie Primary School’s 100th Birthday. The whole school community joined together to mark this very special milestone. Students enjoyed cupcakes, sang Happy Birthday to the school, and then gathered outside for a once-in-a-lifetime aerial photo, taken from a helicopter, of all students forming the number 100.

It was a wonderful way to honour our school’s rich history and achievements, and a truly memorable moment that will be cherished by students, staff, and families for many years to come.
