Thank You for Supporting Casual Clothes Day!

On behalf of our school community, we’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who took part in our Casual Clothes Day to support the St. Vinnie's Winter Appeal. Your gold coin donations and kind hearts will help bring warmth, comfort, and hope to people in our local community who are doing it tough this winter. We’re proud to hand over this contribution to a representative from St. Vinnies Kennington, knowing it will make a real difference. Thank you for showing that even small acts of kindness can have a big impact!

We were able to raise $970. Thank you again for your contribution to people living tough within our Strathfieldsaye/Kennington community.

Foundation and Grade 6 Mass

We would like to take a moment to thank everyone who helped make the Foundation and Year 6 Mass at the end of Term 2 such a beautiful and meaningful celebration. A heartfelt thank you to all the parents and grandparents who joined us—it was so special to have you there.

We are also incredibly proud of the students who participated so reverently, especially those who read and sang the hymns so beautifully. Thank you to the teachers for their hard work and preparation behind the scenes, and a very special thank you to Fr Henry for leading us in such a warm and thoughtful celebration. It was a wonderful way to end the term together in faith and community.

Bendigo Winter Night Shelter

Once again, our school community came together with warmth and generosity to prepare a delicious meal for the Bendigo Winter Night Shelter. This time, our amazing students helped cook Porcupine Meatballs, a hearty and comforting dish made with care for those in need. Providing a warm meal is a simple but powerful way to show kindness and support to people doing it tough during the cold winter months.

A big thank you to Mrs Zealley, Mrs O'Connor, Mrs Exell, and the Year 6 Catholic Identity students for giving their time and energy to make this happen. Your compassion and teamwork truly make a difference.

Feast Day of St. James – July 25

Tomorrow we celebrate the Feast Day of St. James the Apostle, one of Jesus’ closest friends and a brave follower of His teachings. St. James reminds us of the importance of faith, courage, and service to others—values we try to live out every day at our Catholic Primary School.

As a school community, we look to St. James as a role model who inspires us to walk with Jesus, help those in need, and share God’s love with others.
