Spotlight on Learning

 - Dear Foundation Families, 

This week we celebrated 100 days of school, we are so proud of our students and all they have achieved. 

Next week on Monday, we are having a crazy socks and shoes day to raise money for the Opening the Doors Foundation. They support young Indigenous students to attend schools with all of the supplies they need. On Tuesday our school health nurse Erica will be visiting to see students checking on their hearing, vision, speech and other concerns you may have communicated in the health questionarres.

Please take note of Mrs Dourley's email in regards to attendance.

Religious Education Focus

This week, we are beginning our focus on creation. Students will learn about the creation story from Genesis. 

English Focus- Adding /s/

This week, we are working on adding /s/ to words. For example pats, mats, adds. 

Mathematics Focus

We are focusing on addition through number stories. 

Social and Emotional Learning

We are exploring the concept of identity talking about what we would like to do when we grow up. 

Auslan Focus

Next week, we are learning the signs for cold, hot, tomorrow and yesterday.

Reminders

No toys, stickers or pencil cases at school please. Students have everything they require for fun and learning supplied at school! If toys, stickers or other items are brought from home, teachers will remove the item and return it at the end of the day.

Please ensure you are packing your child brainfood each day!
