Hello from 1B

During Week 5 the students in 1B celebrated Book Week by listening to some of the nominated texts shortlisted for 2025, including Don’t Worry Felix, Spiro, One Little Dung Beetle and How to Move a Zoo. 

Grandparents’ morning was a wonderful occasion, where students in 1B made a paper caterpillar with their special visitors before going to explore other areas around the school to complete tasks and gain stamps on their chart.

The highlight of the week was the Book Parade, where the students enjoyed dressing up as their favourite characters including Hello Kitty, a dragon, Mr. Bump, Snow White, Cat in the Hat and many more. The students enjoyed showing off their costumes as they walked around the parade proudly in front of the amazing crowd of parents and friends.

We have also been learning about Minibeasts in the classroom during our science topics, discovering facts about different creatures including their life cycles, what they eat, where they live and other interesting facts.
