Year 6

Musica Viva
A couple of weeks ago, Musica Viva visited Catherine McAuley. In previous years, this visit involved looking at various musical instruments, styles and performances. This year was a little different. The visiting group, Eenzo, told a story using song, instruments and sounds. The theme of the story was the importance of trying new things – being brave, accepting failure as a step in learning and persistence in developing the new skill. This was so relevant as our Year 6 students prepare to move into high school.
Winter Sport
Although the weather has been a little chilly, there is no stopping our Year 6 students! With the Winter Sport program up and running, the students have the opportunity to participate in, often for the first time, a variety of different sports. These include martial arts, gymnastics, boxing, gym and tenpin bowling. These activities are thoroughly enjoyed by the students, as can be seen!
Happy Father’s Day
We would like to wish all fathers, grandfathers and those special people who fill the role of fathers a wonderful Father’s Day on Sunday. We hope that the day is filled with family, friends and many memories in the making.
