Year 5

Exploring 3D Shapes
Year 5 students have been exploring 3D shapes and nets in Mathematics. Working in pairs, they were challenged to design their own 3D object and carefully draw the matching net. Once completed, they swapped creations with another pair, who then had the task of constructing the object from the net.
The activity sparked plenty of teamwork, problem-solving, and creative thinking, and of course, lots of fun as students compared how their designs turned out!
Pugsley had a great week with 5Y learning about shapes and helping to write narratives with tone.
