'The Arts' Update

From our Performing Arts and Create Visual Student Leaders

Week 4 we had a lunchtime band performance. It was great to see a range of songs being performed, with students showcasing their abilities. Well done to all students involved and congratulations!

In Week 6 we will host another concert in the open space outside of W4. Be sure to come along and support your peers.

Last week was production week of Puffs, or Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic. We performed four shows from the 21st–23rd August. It was a blast. I am so grateful for getting to know a range of students and making new friends that have similar interests to me. Being my last ever school performance, it was an emotional last day, but Puffs was an incredible last show and such a fun play to perform.

The Instrumental Music Soiree will soon be held on Tuesday 2nd September in Week 7, followed by the Ensembles Concert on Tuesday 9th September in Week 8 at 6pm in W5. Be sure to come along and admire the talent of our student musicians while enjoying some amazing, unforgettable performances!

A number of our music and drama students will be heading to Beaumaris Primary School on the 10th of September for their Arts Day, performing and running workshops with the students there. We look forward to seeing all our students getting involved on the day!

Call out to any students interested in Musical Theatre. Starbound Musical Theatre Workshops are running their auditions for the 2026 January shows. These workshops are for 14–21 year olds and are an amazing experience and opportunity for everyone involved.
