RoboCup Regional Competition    

Expert Robotics  

This year, BEPS had 19 Year 5 and 6 students compete at the RoboCup Regional Competition at Genazzano College on Saturday, 25th July.

Lets hear from our amazing students who competed in the competition:

Mighty Maisy Rescue Maze:

4 Pieces- Emilia, Georgia, Olivia and Aiden

'We learnt that we should practice lots and it is never perfect on the first try. We think that you should give it a go because it is really fun and challenging, and you can learn lots of new things about coding.'

Simple Simon Soccer:

Matia Soccer -  Ethan, Chris, Prad and Malek

'We learnt that teamwork and a good code will help you lots in the future. We think that you should join and give it a go because it is fun, everyone is helpful, and feels good about competing with other schools.' 

WD-4T - Ethan, Chris, Prad and Malek

'We learnt the importance of synergizing as a team and programming a goalie for our matches. We think that you should join this amazing club because it is fun, educational and you get to make lots of new friends.'

OnStage: 

Pancakes- Kira, Ananya

'We learnt that we should always be prepared for the competition and make sure the robots are charged to get them dancing. We think that you should definitely participate in this competition because it is a great opportunity to learn and compete in the field of robotics and of course HAVE FUN!'

Flowers- Tina, Alejandra, Aarya and Olivia

'We learnt that you should never stop trying to be better, and we improved every time by practicing and never giving up. We think you should be a part of this club because you develop coding and problem solving skills.'

Book Worms- Ishya, Tina

'We learnt that we should practice lots to make sure we are precise with our coding and measurements to stay in the square. We think that you should join Expert Robotics because it is fun and you learn lots about coding.'

Tigers- Leah, Valerie

'We learnt that we have to be resilient and to always be persistent throughout the day. Also, next time we need to improve our weak spots and make sure we follow the guidelines. We think that you should join because it teaches you to never give up, use creativity, and experiment with different parts of the Lego Spike kits.'

Thank you to Teri, Edwina, Luke, Liz, Daniel and Rob who gave up their time to help support all of the students. Additionally, thank you to all of the other parents for coming and supporting the students throughout the day. I know all of the students appreciated you all cheering them on and helping them out.
