Creative and Performing Arts and Languages

Exciting Times in Our Creative Arts Department!

It’s a bustling and vibrant time of year in the Creative and Performing Arts (CAPA) faculty as our students work diligently across a variety of exciting projects and events.

Our Year 12 Visual Arts students are currently putting the finishing touches on their Body of Work, which are due later this month. These works represent months of creativity, skill, and dedication, and will be proudly showcased at our upcoming CAPA Night later this year. This event promises to be a wonderful celebration of student talent and artistic achievement — be sure to mark your calendars!

Meanwhile, HSC Music students are gearing up for their practical exams and the highly anticipated Music Showcase. Students are rehearsing passionately, honing their performances to perfection. We encourage families and the community to come along and support these talented musicians as they demonstrate their hard work and musicianship.

Our school musical is also well underway, with rehearsals progressing smoothly. The cast and crew have been working tirelessly, and the enthusiasm is palpable. We are thrilled to report that ticket sales are already strong, so don’t miss your chance to secure seats for what will undoubtedly be a spectacular production!

To support the musical, we’ll be hosting a fundraising BBQ at Rouse Hill Bunnings this Sunday - 23 August, 2026. We invite you all to come along, enjoy some great food, and help raise funds to bring our musical to life. Your support makes a real difference, and we look forward to seeing many of you there!

In junior years, creativity is flourishing as well. Year 7 students are completing their ‘Little Monsters’ ceramics unit, where they have explored texture, form, and imagination using clay. Year 8 students are embarking on their ‘Endangered Animal’ painting project, combining artistic skill with awareness of environmental issues.

It’s truly inspiring to see our students engaging so passionately in the arts across all year groups. We thank our talented CAPA teachers for their dedication and encourage everyone to participate, support, and celebrate the wonderful creative endeavours happening at our school.

KHS Production of High School Musical: Tickets Now on Sale!

We are thrilled to announce that tickets are now available for Kellyville High School’s exciting production of High School Musical! This year, our talented students have been working tirelessly for over a term to bring this much-loved musical to life on stage. The buzz and excitement around the school is palpable as the cast and crew prepare for opening night.

High School Musical is more than just a performance – it’s a celebration of teamwork, creativity, and the vibrant spirit of our school community. Students from Years 7 to 12 have taken part in every aspect of the production including directing and choreographing and stage management. While our performers have been learning lines, perfecting harmonies, and mastering the choreography, our backstage crew have been building props, designing and making costumes, designing hair and make up looks and preparing the lighting and sound.

Audiences can look forward to a fun, energetic, and heartfelt show. High School Musical is packed with catchy songs, lively dance routines, and relatable characters. It’s a story about embracing individuality, overcoming challenges, and working together to achieve great things. Our students are eager to showcase their talents and share this special experience with the school and broader community.
