Our Spotlight Winners for the Week - Thank you for being respectful during Prayer time.
This week, the Behaviour Spotlight focuses on something truly meaningful for our Holy Family community: being respectful and reverent during prayer. Prayer is one of the most important ways we connect with God, and showing reverence helps create a calm, inclusive space for everyone.
Prayer is part of our daily life at Holy Family, before meals to give thanks, at the start of the day for guidance, and at the end to reflect and show gratitude. We also pause for the Angelus, remembering Mary’s “yes” and taking time to be still.
Being respectful in prayer means being quiet, listening carefully, and keeping our hearts open. It’s a chance to slow down and connect with God. When we pray together with reverence, we strengthen our sense of unity, making our school a place of peace, kindness, and faith.
Gold Day Fun in Stage 3!
Stage 3 students stepped back in time as part of our Australian Gold Rush History unit, enjoying a fantastic Gold Day filled with learning, teamwork and fun. Students became eager prospectors, fossicking for gold as they followed clues in an exciting scavenger hunt and worked together to solve challenges. The day also featured a trivia quiz, games, movie time and plenty of opportunities for students to collaborate and strengthen their teamwork skills.
Adding to the excitement, the students dressed up in Gold Rush-inspired costumes, helping to bring history to life. A special thank you goes to our wonderful Stage 3 parents who prepared a delicious spread of food for everyone to enjoy. The combination of engaging activities, enthusiastic participation and community support made for a truly marvellous day.
STAGE 3 DEBATING
Another week brought another debate, and this time things didn’t go the way we hoped. The most important thing to remember is that everyone at Holy Family put in an incredible effort, and that effort truly matters. Every speaker showed courage, teamwork, and commitment , qualities that make our school proud. Unfortunately, both teams didn’t win their rounds. But that doesn’t mean you failed. The topic, whether people should be fined for throwing away food, was genuinely difficult. It required deep thinking about fairness, responsibility, the environment, and how rules affect everyday people. Even adults struggle with topics like this. What does matter is that you stood up, spoke clearly, supported each other, and represented Holy Family with confidence and respect. That’s something to celebrate. Losing one debate doesn’t define you, it simply gives you more experience for the next one.
Well done to all involved!

Have a wonderful weekend.
