Snow Program Update - Due to ski lessons not finishing until 3pm, the bus will not return to school until 4pm or soon after. Students who usually catch the bus home from school will need to have alternate arrangements.
Thank you to our parent helpers! Information was sent home in students' bags earlier this week. If you haven't received this, please contact Steph.
Fingers and toes crossed that Pete the Snow Dragon works his magic and brings plenty of snow to Falls Creek! We are hopeful that our downhill snow program will commence from Wednesday 10 June. Families of students in Years 3–6 are asked to keep an eye on Compass for any program updates.
We are fortunate to have several wonderful local businesses that can assist with equipment and clothing hire, including Ski Plus, Kiewa Valley Snowsports and Rocky Valley, all conveniently located in Tawonga South. To ensure a smooth and stress-free start to the program, please visit your chosen ski shop in advance to organise any required hire equipment. This allows staff to have everything prepared and ready for collection on Tuesday evening before the program begins.
Students will require:
Skiers will also require:
Snowboarders are required, as directed by the Department of Education, to wear wrist guards.
We also recommend packing a change of clothes and extra warm layers in case clothing becomes wet or weather conditions change throughout the day.
Warm, dry skiers and snowboarders are happy skiers and snowboarders!
If you have any questions, please speak with a member of our staff team.
In PE on Monday afternoon with Dave, students continued to develop their basketball skills. Dribbling and passing were the focus this week. There was great enthusiasm and skills shown during dribbling relays, tail tag and pass tag.

In PE on Thursday with Kathryn, we continued our PMP (Perceptual Motor Program). We worked on controlled movements as we threw, balanced and jumped around the Multi-Purpose Room. It was a welcome break from classroom time after recess and lunch inside on a rainy day.

It was a cold and rainy day at Willow Park on Friday as qualifying students from MBPS and supervising teacher Kathryn gathered to compete. The starting lines were very busy with most age groups having up to 100 students from schools across our region competing.
As always, our students shone bright as they cheered and encouraged each other, tried their best and showed great respect, kindness and determination... that's the MBPS way!
Well done to SAM WILLS who placed 5th in his age group and will now go on to compete at the next stage (top 12 students qualified).

Thank you to parents/carers/grandparents and friends for supporting your children getting to the competition and experiencing this wonderful opportunity.
