ANZAC Day
We were very proud of our Young Leaders and students in Grade 5/6 who represented our wonderful school in the community. They commemorated ANZAC Day with pride and showcased their public speaking. This was a testimony to them as the fine young people they are.
Math
In Math this week we have been working in our warm, welcoming classrooms. Currently for math we have been looking into planning our upcoming Urban Camp to Melbourne in October 2024.
We had to come up with our own amazing day of activities, so pretty much a dream camp. We had to calculate how much money each activity will cost for 44 students to do and find out the distance between all of the activities using Google Maps. In our warmups we have been working on division and new strategies for the four operations to help us mentally calculate in Math.

House Cross Country
On Wednesday, 1st of May our school ran the Cross Country. We started off with the Preps. It was a good race from the start with Barney getting a good, early lead then out of nowhere came Nate. He got a huge lead and ended up winning. Then we had the grade 1/2s. It was a good race for both the boys and girls.
Now the big races.
We started with the 3/4s who ran 2 kilometres. They were doing really well for the whole race but then at the end, in the grade 3 boys the winner won by only a step. Then the last race was the 5/6s. We had to run 3 kilometres! The boys and girls went at the same time. It was a hard race but it was fun. Everyone did really good.
Congratulations to all the winners and all the people who participated for their house
