Mindful Movement
We have had a beautiful start to the term and a change of pace in Mindful Movement.
Feeling and noticing the changes in the environment after the shift of the equinox, Steiner students have engaged in gentle nature walks.
Observing the changes in trees and hunting for fungi, students participated in leaf hunts and used found items to create eco art and mandalas.
Mindful movement this term will focus on rhythms of autumn and also draw inspiration from the Wurundjeri seasons.
Themes of harvest, letting go, slowing down, conserving energy and beginning to go inward will be explored.
Steiner students will continue to participate in local walks and track the changes they see as the months get colder. They will explore slow movement including yoga and tai chi, and resting meditation encompassing relevant story.
