Learning Community 2

3/4 Maxine Howard and Nicole Stark

What a wonderful and creative three weeks we have had in 3/4 so far this term!

We celebrated Earth Day by creating beautiful watercolour paintings!

We learnt about the importance of and meaning behind ANZAC Day, creating stunning silhouette watercolour paintings, making poppy badges and paddle pop sticks to display at the Bunyip ANZAC service.

This term Reading will have a Non-Fiction focus. So far, we have developed our skills in using Prior Knowledge, identifying Text Features, and finding the Main Idea of a Non-Fiction Text.

In Maths, we have used different strategies to complete Multiplication and Division sums, and unpacked 2D and 3D Shapes and their edges, vertices and faces.

In Writing we have unpacked the text features of Information reports and created our own Information Report posters about a chosen animal!

Camp information will be provided in the next week. We hope our families enjoy the weekend!
