Student Services : Wellbeing

Each newsletter the wellbeing team shares information about upcoming events, resources, and other services. Stay tuned!

This week the Student Wellbeing team is pleased to share that we are running a Youth Mental Health First Aid training course for parents and carers on Monday 20th May

and encourage you to complete an expression of interest if you would like to take part. Working with parents and carers is something our team is passionate about – we look forward to sharing more events and opportunities with you over the course of the year.

A toast to toast!

The Breakfast Club crew continues to grow this year and, as always, we welcome all students to join us. We meet twice a week to share a delicious breakfast, washed down with a milo and the age-old debate… Vegemite: yay or nay? Breakfast club runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am in Room C6.

Tuning into Teens (TINT)

We are currently accepting expressions of interest to gauge interest in the TINT parenting program. TINT teaches parents/carers how to work with their own and their children’s emotions in ways that help them to remain close and keep communicating. By practising these skills, families are less likely to experience conflict and young people are more likely to talk to their parents openly about the challenging issues they face.
