Dear Parents, Students and Caregivers,
Wow it’s hard to believe we are heading into our 4th week of the RPS Band 2024 Program. We’re happy to advise we have had a seamless start to rehearsals, tutoring, use of instruments, and seeing the students have fun.
The Training Band is still looking for some enthusiastic musicians for our Trombone section. If your child is interested, please send the band an email at roseleaband@gmail.com.

Carlingford Gourmet Pizza is continuing to support our program for 2024. Over the last 5 years, Carlingford Gourmet Pizza has been an amazing sponsor to the Roselea Band program. They have donated money, pizza for events, and gift voucher prizes for Festival of the Bands and End of Year Concert. Band Committee 2024
We had our first Committee meeting Wednesday 7th February. Thank you to all the parents and committee members for volunteering their time to support the band. Everyone’s enthusiasm & willingness to be involved is fantastic, and we can’t achieve this without you!
This year the Band camp will be held on the weekend of 23rd & 24th March, so please mark this date in your calendar as attendance is required for band membership.
All band parents are asked to get involved by volunteering some time to help out over the weekend. Please keep a look out for upcoming communication which will outline how you can sign up to help.
Band Communication - All Band parents and carers will receive communication via 3 channels - School Enews App, Gmail (roseleaband@gmail.com) and WhatsApp.
Band Fees
Term 1 2024 Band Fees - invoices will be sent out this week. If you do not receive an invoice by the end of this week, please email the band to follow up.
The Band Program is run on a not-for-profit basis. Whilst we have support from P&C, Roselea School, and Carlingford Gourmet Pizza, we do need to cover many costs including Band Director fees, competition entry fees, music scores, tryout night tutors, administration costs, insurance, instrument maintenance and other out of pocket expenses. In addition, several fundraiser events will be held to help with increasing costs throughout the year.
• All fees can be paid by term or in full via the invoice - band fees are NO LONGER on QKR
Joining the Committee
At the end of the year, we will be saying goodbye to some very key people within the Committee. To ensure we have a seamless transition, we are looking for parents to consider supporting the following volunteers in a dual role.
