PLATFORMS FOR COMMUNICATION
At Murrumbeena Primary School, we understand the crucial role that communication between school and home plays in supporting our students’ learning and well-being. We are committed to ensuring that parents and carers are well-informed and actively engaged in their child’s education. To foster this connection, we provide two main platforms for communication: Compass and Dojo.
Compass: A Hub for Important Information
Compass is our official, comprehensive platform where you can access a wide range of essential school-related information. If you haven’t already received your Compass login, please contact us for assistance. Through Compass, you can:
- Record your child’s absences
- View and download your child’s reports
- Access their learning continuum
- Approve or decline excursion permissions
- Communicate directly with your child’s teachers via email
This secure, user-friendly platform ensures that important updates and correspondence are always at your fingertips.
Dojo: A Fun and Interactive Way to Stay Connected
In addition to Compass, we use the Dojo app to share snapshots of your child’s school life in a more interactive and engaging way. Classroom teachers regularly post fun photos, updates, and reminders about upcoming events, giving you a glimpse into your child’s daily experiences at school.
Please note that while Dojo has a messaging feature, it is not used by our staff for communication. If you wish to contact a teacher or staff member directly, we kindly ask that you use Compass for email correspondence or reach out to the school office at 9568 1300.
Need Access to Dojo?
If you do not have access to Dojo, please contact Fiona Sewell at fiona.sewell@education.vic.gov.au to ensure you are set up to receive all the exciting updates from the classroom.
At Murrumbeena Primary, we believe that strong communication between school and families is key to creating a positive, collaborative environment for our students. We are grateful for your continued support in making this partnership thrive.
