Liturgical Calendar

WHAT'S CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION AT ST LIBORIUS PRIMARY SCHOOL?
Students are fostering a beautiful and meaningful approach to prayer across all year levels! The progression of understanding, from simply knowing that they can talk to God anytime (Foundation) to deepening awareness of different cultural prayers (Year 5/6), is a thoughtful way to develop students' spiritual growth.
As we celebrated our beginning of year Mass on Friday, a student representative from each class presented a class candle decorated by all students. These candles are tangible and are an important part of our daily prayer in the classroom and is something tangible that connects.
The following Prayers of the Faithful have been written by students who shared these at our beginning of year Mass.
Hudson: We pray for the whole Church, and for our Parish here at St Liborius which helps us learn about God. May we always be guided in faith. Lord Hear Us.
All: Lord Hear Our Prayer
Charlotte: We pray for the school community, that we may learn each day and always look after each other. Lord Hear Us.
All: Lord Hear Our Prayer
Tahle: We pray for the St Liborius staff. May 2025 be a peaceful year for them as they help us to learn. Lord Hear Us.

Gypsy: We pray for our families because they care for us and love us. May they all stay safe this year. Lord Hear Us.

SCHOOL PRAYER
God you reveal that those who work for peace,
will be called your sons and daughters.
Through St Liborius help us to work for that justice which brings true and lasting peace.
We ask this through Christ our Lord
Amen
PRAYER
Father in heaven,
may the faith you have given us
in your son, Jesus Christ, our brother,
and the flame of charity enkindled
in our hearts by the Holy Spirit,
reawaken in us the blessed hope
for the coming of your Kingdom.
May your grace transform us
into tireless cultivators of the seeds of the Gospel.
May those seeds transform from within both humanity
and the whole cosmos
in the sure expectation
of a new heaven and a new earth,
when, with the powers of Evil vanquished,
your glory will shine eternally.
May the grace of the Jubilee
reawaken in us, Pilgrims of Hope,
a yearning for the treasures of heaven.
May that same grace spread
the joy and peace of our Redeemer
throughout the earth.
To you our God, eternally blessed,
be glory and praise for ever.
Amen
