Year 4 Camp Experience to Kinglake Forest Adventure Camp
On Thursday October 9th, our Year 4 students travelled to Kinglake Forest Adventure Camp, ready to participate in a variety of adventure activities, explore the bush environment and build the dispositions of independence, resilience and teamwork. Some highlights of the day included conquering our fears and climbing the high ropes course and swingbridges, racing around the campsite to locate clues and radioing back to HQ using the walkie-talkie, and problem-solving as a team while trying to balance the giant seesaw. Whilst we were there, we also made friends with the resident wallabies and some of us were lucky enough to feed Vincent the wallaby. With all the hard wor,k we needed fuel for our bodies, and enjoyed a sausage sizzle lunch, lots of fruit and snacks, burgers for dinner and a well-earned ice cream dessert.

Golden Children
Another two Golden Children- Congratulations to Janica and Martina from Year 4 Optimism.
It was wonderful to see both girls keep at it, steadily working through all their Masters since back in Term 1. Perseverance pays, and through determination they both got their once again. Both girls have earned their Golden Child before, Martina in 2023, 2024 and now again in 2025, whereas Janica earned her Golden Child back in 2023 and now again in 2025.
Well done girls on such a wonderful achievement!
(To earn the title of Golden Child, students must earn masters in and be able to name facts about: The planets, rainbows, bones, the solar system, clouds, the mouth, birds, towers, lightning and thunder and all 118 elements of the Periodic Table)
A huge achievement!
Do you want to fly around the moon?
NASA has planned a trip around the moon called Artemis. They’re asking if people want to submit their names.
If you do, your name will be included on an SD card that will fly inside Orion
during the Artemis II mission in 2026!
You can submit your names using the link below if you are interested:
