NEWS FROM MRS SULLIVAN
Mrs Sullivan's & Mrs Thregold's Walking Bus
Thank you to all the parents who have been dropping their children off to join the walking school bus! We have had lots of chatting and laughing on the way to school which has made it fun for us when we walk!
We will walk every day, unless it is raining. Everyone and anyone is welcome to join us - the more the merrier! The challenge is to get Mrs Sullivan fitter!
Thank you Tom
Thank you Tom (Jasmine FE) for bringing us giraffe mulch to put much needed nutrients into our garden beds. Tom came after work on Monday (after riding home from the zoo) and put all the mulch in our garden in the rain! Tom we can’t thank you enough for helping us!
Merry Christmas- Family Fun Activity
For the next few weeks of term we are asking families to create their own Christmas snowflake to decorate our school.
Snowflakes are unique collections of ice crystals, did you know they are always six-sided? They are translucent, not white, but they appear white due to the light scattering off their surface. A snowflake's final design is a result of its journey through the atmosphere. Temperature and humidity determine its shape and complexity.
The snowflake artwork can be a drawing, textile piece, painting or a sculpture. The materials you use can’t be purchased, you may however beg, steal (as long as you ask) or borrow the materials you need. Please try to use things you already have at home.
The Christmas snowflakes are due the week beginning Monday 1st December. This is so that all the snowflakes can be displayed during the final days of term. All snowflakes will need to be taken home by the children during the last few days of term, Week 11.
Task rules
One snowflake per family.
Recycled materials to be used.
The snowflake can be any height/width of up to a maximum of 1 Metre. (remember you have to transport it to and from school).
Enjoy making your family snowflake, we can’t wait to make St Brigid’s sparkle ready for Christmas.
