Whole School Sport

As Term 2 comes to a close, we celebrate not only our academic achievements but also the outstanding participation and spirit shown during the Athletics Carnival and Cross Country events. Our students demonstrated incredible determination, teamwork, and sportsmanship across all activities, making these events memorable highlights of the term. These sporting events have been fantastic opportunities for students to build confidence, enjoy healthy physical activity, and strengthen friendships across year groups.

Congratulations to Elenoa who came 1st in 17-19 Girls Discus and advanced to the Sydney East Regional level! We are so proud of her and all of the students who tried their hardest in their events at the Zone carnival.

Volleyball School Cup – Term 2, Sydney Olympic Park

Our Girls’ team competed impressively in the Year 11 division, a level above their usual grade, despite missing two senior players. Alicia and Ava from Year 8 stepped up, and Marian made a remarkable last-minute switch from the boys’ team—what a spiker! Over five games, the girls achieved 1 win, 1 loss, and 3 draws, demonstrating great resilience and teamwork.

The Boys’ team took on the Year 12 division and played four intense games, securing 3 wins and a narrow semifinal loss, 15–14 in the deciding set. Their performance was a near-perfect display of athleticism and skill, making us extremely proud of their accomplishments.

Thank you to students, and families whose dedication and support made these events such a success. A special thank you to Sydney Super Shuttle for taking our students and generously donating their services. We look forward to more exciting sporting moments and continued community connection in the terms ahead!

Sydney East Knockout – U15s Netball

Congratulations to our U15s Netball team on a fantastic performance at the Sydney East Knockout competition. The girls started with a well-earned win against Blakehurst High School. They then faced last year's runners-up in a highly competitive match, where they put in an outstanding performance and challenged a very strong opposition. The team should be incredibly proud of the way they represented our school throughout the day.

With such a talented and committed group of players, we are excited to see what they can achieve next year. Well done, girls!

PDHPE in the Classroom

Stage 4 students focused on respectful relationships and staying safe, developing essential skills in positive communication, consent, and personal safety, while also improving fitness and teamwork through athletics. Similarly, Stage 5 students deepened their understanding of healthy relationships and safety alongside their athletic participation, enhancing their resilience and respect for others. Practical athletics has been a key feature throughout the term for all students, offering ongoing opportunities to build strength, coordination, endurance, and a love for healthy competition.

Our senior students have been concentrating on developing strong study habits and skills essential for the HSC, and we encourage them to maintain their dedication as they prepare for success. This holistic approach supports our students’ growth as confident, responsible, and empowered young people both on and off the field.
