Work Ready!
Two students, Jackson and Ryan, completed their White Card course. This qualification enables them to legally and safely enter a worksite. We can now pursue the work experience opportunities and potential apprenticeships that both students have been seeking.
UAC Year 12 Seminar
The University Admissions Centre (UAC) delivered a live seminar for our Year 12 students, covering key topics including the HSC, ATAR, scaling, and the UAC application process.
Students also received a free booklet, Steps to Uni for Year 12 Students. Feedback indicated that the session was highly valuable, with students feeling more informed and empowered to take control of their future pathways.
We extend our thanks to Joy, Community Engagement Officer at UAC, for her invaluable insights and guidance.
At the time of writing:
13 students have completed their UAC applications
7 students are currently in the process of applying
1 student has already received an early offer from Torrens University

Kari Careers and Education Expo
Ten of our Aboriginal students attended a careers expo at Minto, run by KARI.
While some students were initially unsure of what to expect, it was excellent to see them quickly engage, support one another, and confidently approach stallholders to gather information. Students also took time to reflect on what they learned and how it may support their future pathways.
Crazy Ideas College – Future Ready Students
A group of more than 250 students participated in programs facilitated by Crazy Ideas College.
The workshops encouraged students to explore their passions and engage in discussions about how changes in technology, the environment, and society will shape their futures. Students also developed an understanding of key skills required for the evolving workforce.
Through CIC’s partnership with IBM, students were introduced to IBM SkillsBuild, a digital platform designed to support young people in gaining micro-credentials and essential workplace and life skills.
The program supported students to develop future-focused thinking, helping them imagine and actively design meaningful pathways forward.
Engineering Seminar – Electric Vehicle Experience
Selected students with an interest in Engineering participated in a seminar exploring emerging technologies and opportunities in the rapidly growing field of electric vehicles.
Students then applied their learning by building their own basic EV models, demonstrating their understanding of the concepts discussed.
HSC & Careers Expo 2026 (Randwick Racecourse)
Year 10 and Year 11 students attended the HSC & Careers Expo at Randwick Racecourse. The event brought together a wide range of institutions to support students in exploring future pathways.
Students engaged with exhibitors, asked thoughtful questions, and developed a deeper understanding of the opportunities available to them. It was encouraging to see their curiosity not only sparked, but actively pursued in meaningful conversations.
Engineering Seminar – Renewable Energy Experience
The same group of students attended a further engineering seminar focused on renewable energy technologies and career pathways in the sector.
Students built working models of solar and wind generators capable of lighting LEDs, and then presented their projects to students from other schools via Microsoft Teams.
