Dear Primary Families
As we step further into Term 4, we welcome the warmer days of Spring, bringing with them a sense of renewal and energy. We are excited to share updates, important dates, and engaging activities happening at our school. This month, we’ll highlight upcoming events as well as share student achievements. Our students had a wonderful time at our CROCS excursion as well as thoroughly enjoying our incursion from Brainstorm Productions!
We truly appreciate your involvement in our school community and encourage you to participate in upcoming meetings and events. Together, we can create a vibrant environment for our students to thrive.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to an exciting month ahead!
Sun Smart
As we embrace the warmer weather of Term 4, we kindly remind you of our commitment to sun safety. Please send your child/ren to school with a hat and sunscreen already applied. This simple, yet essential measure helps protect our children from harmful sun exposure and ensures a safe and enjoyable outdoor experience
Key dates for your diary:
• SSG Meetings: SSG meetings will soon be underway. Please look out for letters coming home soon to confirm your day/time preferences as well as whether you would prefer in person/phone/Webex. Our teachers are looking forward to discussing your child/ren's successes and goals with you.
• Transition to 2025 Classrooms – Week 11: In Week 11, students will participate in transition week, meeting their 2025 teachers and classmates to prepare for a smooth transition into their new classes.
• Melbourne Cup – 5th November: The school will be closed for Melbourne Cup Day.
• SAKG Aussie Farm Incursion – 7th November: The Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program’s farm incursion is a great way to engage students with hands-on exciting learning.
• Curriculum Days – 4th November & 13th December: These will be student-free days so please make arrangements accordingly.
• Last Day of School – 20th December: Students finish at 1:00 pm on the final day.
I hope you have a wonderful week and are able to enjoy some sunshine!
Warm regards
Michelle
Room 7 has had such a wonderful start to the term, keeping busy with our Halloween arts and crafts. This has been a wonderful opportunity for all our students to get creative with a range of upcycled materials as they build their fine motor skills. We are so looking forward to our exciting week next week. Gail will be driving us all to Werribee Zoo for our safari bus tour and tactile workshop. Then the very next day cute farm animals will come visit us at school! We are all looking forward to these last few weeks shared together for the year and everyone should be feeling so proud of themselves for all they have achieved to date.
