VOCABULARY

Character profile: a record of everything you know about your character

Author: a writer of a book or poem.

Narrative: A narrative is a piece of writing that focuses on telling a story.

ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Students can create a character profile for their writing and then put that character into a story. 

Some prompting questions that you can ask to help are: 

• What do they look like? 
• What do they sound like? 
• What things do they like to do?
