Dear Parents and Friends,
I hope everyone enjoyed the school holidays and the first week of Term 4. I was lucky to be a part of a principal network trip to Spain to walk part of the Camino de Santiago (The way of St James) - see attached information on the 'Prayer' page. This route is dotted with ancient cathedrals, monasteries, and shrines that carry centuries of collective prayers. The trip was an amazing spiritual, religious, cultural, bonding and physically challenging experience. I hope that this experience helps me to share the spirit of the Camino and the calling of Jesus, with the St Christopher's community.
On Wednesday all students travelled to Forest Hill Secondary College to take part in a rehearsal. This provided them with an opportunity to use the stage that they will be performing on next week. They also got to practice getting on and off the stage and working with other classes. We are all very excited about the concert and look forward to seeing everyone there next Wednesday evening. Please see the attached details on the 'School Concert' page.
The senior adventure playground was removed yesterday and today the installation of the new one commenced. We are hoping the works will be completed early next week and the students can enjoy this new space.
The School Advisory Council will hold its AGM on Tuesday 19 November, 7pm in the open area of the classroom building. All community members are welcome to attend. As there will be a vacancy in 2025, we are seeking expressions of interest for the School Advisory Council. Please email principal@scsyndal.catholic.edu.au if you are interested.
During their Physical Education lessons, all students have been taking part in a gymnastics program run by Tri Skills. This program has included jumping, running, balancing and rolling.
Please note that Friday 1st and Monday 4th November are student free days.
Camp Australia will not be available on either of these days.
Tuesday 5th November is the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday.
Our next assembly will be next Friday and include students of the week and other awards. All welcome.
If you have any concerns regarding your child, please see their teacher or myself.
Enjoy the weekend
