YEAR 9
Fabrics to Fauna

Boxing for Fitness
Students in 9F and 9A had a great time participating in a boxing session at Lilydale's Lightning Fight Centre as part of their Community Fitness unit.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement as the students practiced jabs, crosses, hooks, pushups, crunches and footwork, fostering a sense of achievement while contributing to their physical fitness!
LHS Cafe
On Thursday 24 October, the Year 9 Community Time Café class were back for their LAST lunchtime event for the year!
On the menu was a delightful array of treats for $1, including refreshing Coke and Raspberry Spiders, savory Meat Pies, golden Sausage Rolls, scrumptious Cherry Ripe Balls, an indulgent Crunchie Ice Cream Bar, along with Brookies - back by popular demand!
To complement these treats, the café offered freshly popped popcorn, alongside hot chocolates with fluffy marshmallows. And for coffee lovers, there was a variety of coffees, ensuring that everyone could find something to tantalise their taste buds.
Congratulations to all the students involved in making the event a resounding success, filled with scrumptious delights!!
Page to Stage

MND Bake Sale
On Tuesday 29 October, at lunchtime, students in Mr Keats' Year 9 Side Hustle class held a Bake Sale in the Middle School Quadrangle to raise money to FightMND.
Baked treats included Chocolate Chip Cookie ice cream sandwiches, which were a combination of creamy vanilla ice cream nestled between two soft, chewy cookies, crispy Rice Bubble slices that added a wonderful crunch, along with fruity meringues, delicious cupcake muffins, and fragrant cinnamon rolls!
The FightMND cake stood out with its vibrant colours and thoughtful message, and the Russian toffees provided a rich, buttery sweetness. To wash it all down, there were refreshing cans of soft drink available for everyone to enjoy!
Congratulations and well done to all students involved in today's fundraiser event.
FightMND is driven by a single and urgent purpose – to find effective treatments and a cure for Motor Neurone Disease (MND).
When you donate to FightMND, you provide hope to people living with MND as well as their families – hope that one day, there will be an effective treatment or cure for this devastating disease.
