This week we have been reminded that the warmer weather can bring snake activity. We have had a chat with all students around the importance of not playing in the gardens and check around the edges of the types and veggie patch. In my 9 years at Beaufort Primary School, we have had very few sightings, but we have always been vigilant that they are in our area. We will continue to monitor our gardens and follow protocol if we see another snake in our yard.
Congratulations to our 30 students in Years 3 to 6 who took part in the 2024 Maths Olympiad.
We had some wonderful results and presented all participants and top 3 place getters with their certificates at our last assembly.

Yesterday our school captains had a quick visit from Dan Tehan. Dan was in the area and was delivering our new flags. Thea, Ele, Kaela and Will happily spoke with Mr Tehan and also gave him a tour of our school.
As one of our biggest supporters through donations and financial supports for student's camps, excursions and awards, we are putting out the call to see if we have any parents or family members who might be able to "give back" by volunteering their time at the Op Shop.
The shop operates 7 days a week to ensure healthy donations throughout the year. Giving back to the community, assisting children's education and out of school activities.
A requirement of 3 hours each month, minimum, is all they ask but if you are able to do more, it would be very welcomed. A roster system is in place, and it is flexible if duty dates and time does not suit.
It is always a pleasure to welcome new team members and they provide a friendly, clean , organised and safe space to work it.
If you are interested and would like more information, please pop into the shop and talk to any of the members on duty.
The members of the Beaufort and District Op Shop hope that they may expand their staff to incorporate local parents, so that they can continue to enrich the commitment to the local children
