Hello Families and Friends,

We’re buzzing with excitement to share all the spooky fun we've had at TheirCare over the past two weeks! Halloween has sprinkled its magic all around us, making everything more vibrant and engaging. Get ready to dive into the highlights of our thrilling adventures!

Term 4, Week 3

Welcome to our "Europe Extravaganza"! This week has been an absolute blast as the children explored the vibrant cultures of Europe! We kicked things off with an exciting project: creating mini–Eiffel Towers! The children were bursting with creativity and curiosity about everything European.

As the week rolled on, our craft activities took centre stage, with the children eagerly making their own flags, crafting model food, flying paper airplanes, and designing colourful keyrings. But the real showstopper was, of course, the mini–Eiffel Towers! The children were thrilled to discover that they could transform a simple 2D net into a stunning 3D masterpiece.

It was amazing to see their concentration as they tackled this challenge—nothing was too tough for these little builders! We were most amazed by their attention to detail. Many children opted to personalise the mini-Eiffel tower in the most creative ways. This included the use of textas, pencils, glitter pens and even pure glitter and glue. Creativity continues to be on the forefront at the service and it is lovely to see. 

Term 4, Week 4

Welcome to our spooktacular "Halloween Screen" week! The children dove into a world of creativity and excitement as we transformed our room into a Halloween wonderland! With cobwebs and mini spiders decorating every corner, the kids were instantly captivated by all things spooky.

Their enthusiasm spilled over into our activities, where they got crafty making Pumpkin Handprints that splashed vibrant orange paint all around, Monster Bookmarks adorned with goofy ghouls, Paper Plate Ghosts that floated around the room, and even Mini Jack O’ Lanterns that lit up our hearts! Each project brought giggles and smiles as they collaborated and shared ideas, showcasing their unique creativity. The fun truly felt endless!

But the highlight of the week? Our delicious Halloween snacks! The “Monster Cookies,” “Monster Pretzels,” and “Monster Pancakes” were huge hits, and the kids couldn’t believe how amazing they turned out! They even joked about becoming chefs themselves!

This week has been unforgettable, and we hope everyone who celebrated Halloween had a fantastic time trick-or-treating!

Sun Safety 

Being in Term 4, children must wear hats when engaging in outdoor play. Can I please ask parents and guardians that you remind your child to bring their hat over to TheirCare so that we can go outside and enjoy all the sun has to offer safely! If preferred we have a tub at the service, your child is welcome to bring a spare sun-safe hat that is named that they keep at the service and use throughout the Year! Sunscreen will be applied before going outside every day, if your child requires a particular sunscreen, please do not hesitate to let me know so that I can accommodate for this!
