Ice Cream Shop Design Challenge (Prep-2)Our Prep to Grade 2 students have been tasked with a fun and creative challenge—designing their very own ice cream shop! Throughout this exciting project, students will use their imagination and design skills to choose a shop name, create a detailed storefront, and plan the inside layout. They’ll also get to invent their own delicious ice cream flavors and promote their shop by designing a flyer. To bring their ideas to life, students will build a prototype of their shop using recycled materials.
Rollercoaster Design Challenge (Grades 3-6) Our Grade 3-6 students have been appointed as the chief rollercoaster designers for a top Australian theme park! Their mission is to create an exciting new rollercoaster to be built next year. As part of the challenge, students will be using their STEM skills to design and construct a scale model of their rollercoaster, which will be tested using marbles as the passengers. Key design specifications include a 360° loop and a thrilling 45° drop! Throughout the process, students will need to consider the physics behind their designs, including how to maintain speed, stability, and safety. We can’t wait to see their creative and innovative rollercoaster models!
