Specialist Feature News: Visual Arts
Selamat Siang,
In Visual Arts over the past few weeks the 5/6 students have worked hard to complete their textile projects! The Year 5s designed tote bags whilst the year 6s created their own Graduation Bears! We are so excited for Year 6s to present their bears at their Graduation.
3/4 students have been enjoying clay exploration through creating their own clay animals. First sculpting, before adding paint and glaze to present these for their portfolio.
Students had the opportunity to work with Artist In Residence, Sam Richards to design and paint logs with First Nations symbols that represent our stories.
The Junior School have been exploring line and pattern art by creating layers of lines and patterns before adding extra detail, pastel and water colour. They have also been experimenting with chalk pastel to blend colours.
Keep an eye out on instagram for more updates of our upcoming projects in the artroom including Sand Art in the Senior School and clay in the Junior School.
Have a wonderful, creative week!
Terima Kasih,
The Specialist Team
