45km Charity Walk Report & Fundraising Total

Report and Fundraising Total

The numbers are in!   This year’s 45km Walk to Bungawarra has raised a total of $8,950 for charity. Funds will support the ongoing work of Compassion, Ibulanku School Uganda and Greystanes Disability Services. What a way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this event!

Congratulations to all participants for their fundraising efforts and an excellent personal achievement.

A sincere thank you to George Vergotis and the many volunteers who made the event possible.

This year’s event was not for the faint-hearted! The cold, wet and misty conditions made the first leg of the walk particularly challenging. The skies cleared around lunchtime to reveal stunning views of the Kanimbla Valley. Participants enjoyed a well-earned sausage sandwich and a hot drink at Bungawarra as they reflected on the day and celebrated their achievement with their families and fellow walkers.

This long-standing event in the BMGS calendar is a celebration of service and community spirit. It was wonderful to welcome back participants from past years, as well as Year 7 students and their families who were experiencing the event for the first time.

We hope you can join us again next year!
