From the Deputy Principal
Schoolbox For Parents
We are excited to announce that Schoolbox, via both website and mobile app, will be open for parents and carers from Friday 22nd November.
Many parents will already be familiar with Schoolbox, and will have seen their children using it to access learning materials. New from the 22nd November, however, will be a wealth of community information pages, personal calendars of events, access to the Uniform Shop Online and communications functions specifically designed to ensure that you can find the information you need when you need it. Schoolbox will ultimately replace MyBMGS, which will be decommissioned in due course. With the greater functionality available in Schoolbox, and the greater ease of log in and notification, we hope that this will be a great step forwards in making sure you have the information busy families need to successfully navigate our busy school.
Prior to the 22nd November we will be sending parents and carers detailed ‘how to’ guides with step-by-step instructions on how to log in and access the information you need. From Monday the 25th November we will also have in-person help available in our campus Receptions, for those who need a little extra assistance to log in and get started.
We hope that by launching Schoolbox in this last few weeks of 2024, you will have the chance to log in, familiarise yourselves with this new platform and be confident to access information about the start of the 2025 school year. These few weeks will also give us the opportunity to engage with feedback in readiness for 2025.
As a first step, I encourage all parents and carers to log in to the Parent Portal and confirm your contact details. This will help us to ensure that your ‘how to’ guide finds you.
I will look forward to seeing you all in Schoolbox!
Owen Laffin
