Dear Parents and Carers,

In today’s digital world, keeping our children safe online is more important than ever. We’ve received some valuable resources to help parents navigate the challenges of online safety, and these are linked and attached for your convenience.

One key resource is a flier outlining the 12 most dangerous apps for children. Many of these apps are popular among young people, but they expose children to significant risks. In particular, the app Roblox has been highlighted as a major concern due to the dangers associated with its online interactions.

Also included are tips and advice for parents to help ensure your child’s online safety:

  • Avoid allowing your child access to social media apps, even under pressure from peers or others.
  • Keep a record of all usernames and passwords for the accounts they do use.
  • Regularly monitor their online activity, including deleted images and browsing history.
  • Insist that devices are used in open, communal areas of your home—not in bedrooms behind closed doors.

We understand that managing your child’s online presence can feel overwhelming. By working together and maintaining shared expectations, we can help educate our children about safe and respectful online behavior while mitigating potential risks.

Thank you for your ongoing support in keeping our students safe both online and in the real world.
