KPA Welcome Cocktail Party - Friday 31 January, 2025 at 6.00pm - Kambala

Invitations to be issued mid-January 2025.

Year 2 Merit Assembly - Friday 6 December, 2024 - 9.00-10.30am 

Year 2 Merit Assembly will be held on Friday 6 December, 2024 from 9.00 - 10.30am in the Music Performance Theatre at Kambala. 

Parents of girls in Year 2 are warmly invited to attend.

Year 2 Sleepover - Friday 6 December 5.30pm - Saturday 7 December 8.00am - Kambala

In preparation for Year 3 Camp, we look forward to welcoming Year 2 girls to a sleep-over in the Junior School which will be held on Friday 6 December 2024.

It is sure to be a fun-filled evening with girls enjoying pizza, some games and a movie. The girls will be sleeping in the Junior School MPR, with a teacher present at all times.

We strongly believe this is valuable preparation for Year 3 Camp. 

Arrival: All girls should arrive back at school by 5.30pm on Friday 6 December 2024, dressed in their pyjamas.

(We kindly ask that students do not arrive before this allocated time as there will be no supervision)

What to Bring:

  • Sleeping Bag
  • Sleeping Mat
  • Pillow
  • Drink Bottle (clearly named)

Departure: 8.00am Saturday 7 December 2024

Girls are to be picked up from outside the EJ Watt Building

Supervising Teachers are Mrs Panagopoulos, Ms Walsh, Miss Crawford, Mrs Koutsoukis, Ms Hay, Mrs Tan and Mr Coppin. 

The girls will be given breakfast in the Tivoli Boarding House prior to their departure on Saturday.

Please remember that no food is to be brought to School including sweets and chocolate.

The focus of the sleep-over is that the girls have fun! 

 Carols on Tivoli Lawn - Sunday 8 December, 2024 - Tivoli Lawn, Kambala - Gates open at 6.30pm (Carols start at 7.00pm) 

Wet Weather Plan - Carols on Tivoli Lawn 

We are excitedly planning our Carols on Tivoli Lawn on Sunday 8 December, 2024. We pray for fine weather.As we mention each year, this beautiful evening is a weather dependent event.  In the event of rain this event would need to be cancelled.  

The school would advise on Sunday 8 December via a Sundial notification at 10.00am if this event would need to be cancelled.

Nine Lessons and Carols - Monday 9 December, 2024 - St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney - 6.00 - 7.00pm

Nine Lessons and Carols is an early evening event for Senior School parents and students.   Nine Lessons and Carols takes place on Monday 9 December, 2024 from 6.00 - 7.00pm at St Andrew’s Cathedral.  

 

Please note - Preparation - Year 6 Junior School sisters attending with parents should be dressed in Kambala summer uniform with blazers.

Speech Day Information for Junior School Families - Wednesday 11 December, 2024 - 11.00am - 1.00pm, State Theatre, Sydney

It is an expectation that all Year 3 - 6 girls attend to celebrate the success of their peers.

UNIFORM

Year 3 - Year 6 Girls will need to wear their Panama hats and blazers when representing Kambala in the city (please note that all girls are asked to bring blazers but they will not be worn if the weather is too warm). Sisters in Massie House attending are also expected to wear their school uniform (Massie Year 1 and 2 students should also wear their Panama hat when representing the school in the city).

 

PRIZES

Prizes will be announced to girls in Years 3 to 6 at our student assembly on Friday afternoon, 6 December 2024. An enveloped letter confirming the prize will also be sent home with girls who have been awarded prizes via their school diary that Friday afternoon.

On Speech Day, prize winners are to report to Ms Moore in the foyer of the State Theatre at 10.20am and will be ushered in to be seated on the ground floor.

 

SEATING AND STUDENT DROP-OFF

Year 3 - 6 Students 10.20am - 10.30am - All Year 3 to Year 6 students (who are not receiving prizes) are to meet their class teachers in the Pitt Street Mall outside Myer at 10.20am. Class teachers will be there with their respective class signs.Parents will then make their way to their seats which are located on the Dress Circle level of the State Theatre. PLEASE NOTE - specific seats have not been assigned. Massie students are to be seated with their parents for the ceremony.

 

10.40am - Once roll call is completed all Year 3 - 6 Junior School students will walk with their respective teachers from Pitt Street Mall to their seats which will be located on the Mezzanine level of the State Theatre.

 

1.15pm - DismissalWe anticipate Speech Day to conclude by 1.15pm. Parents of students in Year 3 to Year 6 are to proceed to the Mezzanine level of the State Theatre to collect their daughter/s from their classroom teachers. Parents of prize winners in Years 3 - 6 are to proceed to the seats in the Stalls (on the bottom level) to collect their daughters from Ms Moore.
