Dear Armstrong Creek Community,

Welcome back to ACS for 2025!

What a wonderful start we have had. Thank you for all you have done over summer to ensure your wonderful children are at school and ready to learn. The happiness and positivity that has been on display in classrooms and in the yard has been so great to experience. We welcome many new families to ACS and wish you all the best with your start with us.

A super special welcome to all of the new Foundation students and families. 

These is much to love about our school but this week I've been reminded on many occasions that the heart of any place is the connection to people. It has been great to reconnect. 

Please reach out to the ACS team through reception if you feel you need some more support with the start of this year. We are here to help.

Prep first day

A big, warm welcome to our newest Prep students as they embark on their very first year of school. 

On Thursday, we greeted 113 eager (and a little nervous!) faces, ready to start their exciting learning journey. Our school was buzzing with energy as these young learners stepped into their classrooms, and with 7 classes led by 7 equally excited teachers, there’s so much to look forward to this year!

For such a special occasion, we thought it fitting to roll out the red carpet. We had some kids skip and run down the carpet, many warily but curiously cling to their adults as they made their way and others who didn’t even want their parents or carers getting in the way of their new adventure. 

Despite the mixed emotions, the staff ensured every child was cared for and supported on their very first two days. With all hands on deck our Prep students have not only met their classroom teachers for the year, but also spent lots of time with our specialist teachers and our Education Support Staff. 

For our new families, we’re so glad you’re here and we look forward to supporting you through this exciting time. To our existing families, thank you for continuing to be part of our school community as we grow and welcome these wonderful new faces.

It’s going to be a year full of learning, growth, and unforgettable experiences. Let’s make it a memorable one together.

Here’s to an incredible start to 2025. Judging by the way the entire group settled straight into school life, we can only anticipate a wonderful year ahead!
