International Competitions and Assessments for Schools Awards

We would like to extend a huge congratulations to our students in Years 2 to 6 who participated in the International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) earlier this year. We are very excited to report that many of our Primary students received certificates this week, recognising their wonderful achievements in English, Mathematics and Science.

ICAS has a rich history, having been undertaken by over 10 million students from 16,000 schools across 41 countries since its inception in 1981. This prestigious academic competition not only acknowledges students' performance but does so in an engaging manner akin to sports or the arts. The thoughtfully designed questions, developed by psychometricians, education measurement experts and seasoned educators, challenge students’ higher-order thinking skills while ensuring the assessment is both stimulating and enjoyable.

Congratulations to all of those students involved and we look forward to celebrating our 2025 participants next year!

Season’s Greetings card - Art competition

Our Year 1 and 2 students from Lakeside College participated in Emma Vulin MP's Annual Season’s Greetings card art competition.

A selected panel chose the best six submissions that featured in her Season’s Greetings Cards, which have being sent to all households across the Pakenham electorate.

This week we acknowledged Sienna pictured below, who was chosen as one of the 6 best submissions with her artwork being used in one of Emma’s Seasons Greetings card.

Congratulations Sienna
