Drop-off and Pick-up

Please remember when dropping off or picking up students that road rules exist for the protection of everyone including your boys. Police and other authorities will be enforcing traffic regulations.

Please remind boys that if, for any reason, they are not picked up after school, they should go to the Health Centre and wait for a parent to arrive. The staff there are able to look after the boys and make every effort to contact parents.

During that time, he taught Physics, Mathematics and Science in Years 7 to 12, with his specialised area of teaching being in Senior Physics. He held the position of Brisbane North district reviewer of Senior Physics which assisted greatly in bringing excellent academic standards for each new syllabus.  Mr Kosiek worked with the Head of Science in helping Year 11 students prepare for the annual Australian edition of the Physics Olympiad.  His knowledge and teaching ability have been excellent.

As Head of House, Mr Kosiek co-ordinated the “Foley 7s” interschool touch football competition, which saw a spirited house vs house annual event across all year levels.  His fundraising contributions included coordinating and facilitating the Christmas Prawn and Ham fundraiser – raising over $ 10,000 during the past 6 years for the Mater Foundation for Cancer Research during his tenure in Foley House.

Mr Kosiek’s commitment to social justice also included leading groups of students in 2014 and 2016 for an extended overseas immersion during the school holidays to a less fortunate Marist school, St Michel Technical College in Vanuatu. Students on immersion assisted under the guidance of Mr Kosiek in a variety of ways which included teaching numeracy and literacy, repairing sporting facilities and building new outdoor structures.

During his time at the College, Mr Kosiek involved himself in co-curricular activities which included coaching Cricket and Rugby Union to Open Seconds level, including touring internationally in coaching Rugby. He acted as tour co-leader to provide an experience for students on annual ski trips to the Australian Alps in school holidays between 2005 and 2019.
