Rosh Hashanah
What is Rosh Hashanah and why is it celebrated?
For our Jewish community, Rosh Hashanah commemorates the creation of the world and marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection and repentance that culminates in the Yom Kippur holiday, also known as the Day of Atonement.
Traditionally, family and friends gather together for meals. It's a time to look forward to a new year with anticipation and reflecting on the past year to improve ourselves for the next.
Our extracurricular Hebrew program coordinator at CJC would like to share a delicious and healthy recipe with the school community. It's a great cooking activity to share with your childen during the holidays.
Bring out the aprons and get busy in the kitchen!
