VIRTUAL WORK EXPERIENCE - HAVE YOU TRIED IT!

The St Joseph’s College Careers Tools website features the opportunity to undertake virtual work experience. Undertaking work experience during school term breaks is not always possible for some students, however, this platform enables you to experience multiple workplaces at your own speed, and really see what a job is all about without setting foot into the actual workplace. You can have one or multiple experiences, complete tasks and activities that are typical of that job and get a certificate of completion at the end.

So, what are you waiting for! Let’s be a policeperson, environmental scientist, lawyer, physiotherapist for a day!

MAKING SECONDARY TEACHING FREE TO BACK OUR SCHOOL WORKFORCE

The Andrews Labor Government will make studying to become a teacher in secondary schools in Victoria free, with scholarships covering the cost of degrees to help boost our school workforce and support hardworking teachers.

The scholarships will be available to all students who enrol in secondary school teaching degrees in 2024 and 2025, with final payments if they then work in Victorian government schools for two years after they graduate – supporting around 4,000 future teachers each year.
