Girls Futsal
On the 10th of August, 26 year 7, 8 & 9 girls competed in inter school sport Futsal against AIA, PCVG, and AIA Caroline Springs.
The girls were very resilient and worked well together, communicating and supporting each other for a very successful day.
Year 7 A team and intermediate Yr 9 girls came second in their pools. A big shout out to Greta A in Year 7 for demonstrating excellence and community for choosing to play in the intermediate girls team because they were a player down. Greta did a great job scoring many goals against year 9's!!

Boys Basketball
We had four teams out for 7/8 boys basketball, all students showed great sportsmanship throughout the day! It was great to see our Coburg talent on display, we managed to have a Coburg A v Coburg B grand final for the year 8's which saw Coburg A through to regionals. The year 7 boys A team were also successful in making it through to regionals as they went through undefeated.

Both teams played with impressive spirit and skill, going through to their grand finals undefeated. The Year 7s played a fantastic final game of the day and are through to regionals, while the Year 8s battled injury and went down by a few points at the end of the game. We are very proud of our teams!

Year 8 Boys Netball
On Monday the 28 of August the boys netball team for year 8, marched into the Waverley netball stadium for the state championship title. At the end of the tournament we were able to tie 3rd place in the entire state, winning one game, losing one and drawing in one really close game. In the Semi final we played Blackburn High School, who not only beat us but won the State Championship. The Year 8 Boys netball team has done really well this year as we had not played in Moreland round at the start of the year as there was too little competition for us to compete against, so we instantly moved up to regionals where we comfortably beat most teams there by nearly 25-30 points, in doing so they have been the first Year 8 boys netball team to make State Netball Championships and finished equal 3rd, Outstanding effort.
