Yarra Division Athletics

At the end of August, over 35 of our students participated in the Yarra Division Athletics at Lilydale/Yarra Ranges Athletics Track in Mt. Evelyn. There were some fantastic results from all of our students, many of whom finished on the podium. Several of our students won their events and have progressed through to the Eastern Metropolitan Zone, which will be held in Term 4: 

Brookley H. – 1st place in 200m, 800m, 1500m, long jump and 4x100m relay – Brookley was also awarded Age Group Champion for the 13y/o girls!!

Shayla W. – 1st place in shot put

Emily P., Anastasia D., Bonnie S. and Brookley H. – 1st place in 4x100m relay

Charlie A. – 1st place in long jump

Harry F. – 1st place in shot put

Alasdair N. – 1st place in discus

Sita D. – 1st place in 400m

Chloe H. - 1st place in 100m, long jump, discus

Basketball

Throughout Term 3, Year 7's had the opportunity to participate in a basketball competition on Thursdays during lunch time.  Five teams entered the half-court round robin, with other Year 7's helping to coach, score and referee. Well done to all teams on their positivity and enthusiasm. A special congratulations to 'The 4 Chickpeas' who remained undefeated throughout the competition and won the grand final on the last day of school!
