Year 11 Market Day

The Year 11 Business Management students ran a Market Day on Thursday 31st August 2023.  With the direction of our Business Management teacher Ms Riazati, we applied Marketing Theory (Unit 2 AOS 2 in Business Management) to practice.  In preparation for the day, we learned the steps required to set up and run a small business venture.  These included deciding on the type of product, target market and elements of marketing mix such as product, place, pricing and promotion, etc.  

We would like to take this opportunity to express our gratitude to Ms Riazati for supporting us in what was such a valuable experience, as well as our families who helped us and a number of businesses who made a generous donation towards our Market Day, including:  Baker’s Delight in Chirnside Park and Mooroolbark, Coles and Woolworths Supermarkets, Beechworth Bakery Healesville, Yarra Valley Cake Company and Muffin Break in Chirnside Park.  Thanks also to Jo Taylor from the school office for all of her help.   We raised a total of $1,119.50 and the proceeds will be donated to Beyond Blue.  The day went very smoothly and we gained so much from running this event.
