PSA Summer Season – Round 1
The students have been busy training and preparing for the upcoming PSA summer season that begins this week with an away fixture against Hale. At the 1sts level, many of the teams spent the holiday break holding training sessions, mini-camps, and scratch matches. The sessions will hopefully hold them in good stead to challenge for the trophies that are on offer for each sport.
Once again parents are welcome to attend the games and support their son throughout the two days.
1st team details against Hale on Saturday 14th October:
- Basketball – 10.30am @ Hale Senior Gym
- Cricket – 9.30am @ Hale School (Craig Oval)
- Tennis – 8.30am @ Hale School (Hard courts)
- Volleyball – 10.00am @ TC Sports Centre
- Water Polo – 10.45am @ Hale Pool
Basketball and Volleyball will also be live streamed on the Streamer website.
Fixtures/Team Selection/Training Schedule Information
Each week’s fixtures can be found on the Sports Fixture page on Seqta. This is available for both parents and students to view to see where each team is playing, start time and coaches/staff. This is normally updated on the Wednesday before each round.
The Sports Team lists can also be found on the Sports Team list page on Seqta for parents and students to view. This is normally updated approx. 24 hours before the game and displays the team lists, venue information and start/finish times. A reminder that the return times are approximate and may change slightly due to traffic and/or bus issues.
Each weeks training schedule can be found on the Sports Training page on Seqta. This has the training details for every team for that week and will also shortly include the staff/coaching list for each team so that parents are able to contact the relevant staff member if your son is going to be absent due to illness, etc.
Training Attendance
A reminder that is compulsory for students to attend all training sessions throughout the season. Exemptions from sport are only approved by the Director of Sport or the Principal, and is only given to students who are a part of state or national teams. Missing training/games due to external commitments such as work, club training/games (including District cricket, Football pre-season, etc), etc is not permitted.
Afterschool detentions will be given to students who miss three training sessions without a reasonable excuse.
