Junior School

Welcome Back

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back Term Four. We hope that everyone had the opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy the holidays with family and friends.

The boys have returned with fabulous haircuts and their uniform is being worn with pride.  Thank you to our students and families for making this happen.

Due to Presentation Night in the Senior School, there will be no Homework Club after 3.40pm on Tuesday 17 October.  Junior School Homework Club will go ahead until 3.40pm and all students must be collected by this time as there will be no teacher on duty after 3.40pm.

Class lists will be formed in the final few weeks of school with preparation for this commencing shortly. The process of constructing class lists includes significant professional discussion and planning between staff members to create and determine class lists that have a balance of academic ability, are close to even in number, social, emotional and behavioral needs of students, which students work well together and those who don’t.

Fair and reasonable requests considered are:

  • Keeping or separating twins
  • Insight into relationship issues a child may have with another child of that same year level. If you have a valid request, please book a time to meet with me through Ella Spencer.

The following are rarely valid requests and generally will not be considered:

  • Requests for a particular teacher
  • Requests for a child to be in a class with a particular student. At times, we get conflicting requests where a parent would like their child to be in the same class as a particular student and the other child’s parent has requested that the two children be separated. There are also occasions where parent requests conflict with who the child has requested they would like to be in class with.
