Celebration of

Learning

Prep Legoland Excursion

As part of our technology-based fairy tales theme, the prep students explored push and pull movement at Legoland. They experimented with varying levels of earthquake-like movement to test if their buildings were sound ( just like the 3 little pigs!)

They also manipulated wheels and axles to make a fast car and then a stable car. These skills will help them to build a carriage to take Cinderella to the ball!

A great day had by all.

Grade 2 Persuasive Writing

The Grade 2’s ate some toast with the aim to choose their favourite spread and then try and convince others of why it is the best for Persuasive Writing! What is your favourite way to eat toast?

The best spread by far would have to be…. JAM. The legendary jame texture in the best part. It is so smooth so it does not scratch your mouth or your throat. Sammy 2MD

The very best spread for toast is Vegemite because the flavour tingles. In my opinion it is tangy and salty and a little sweet. Kaiya 2MD

Jam is the absolute yummiest flavour on toast. I can convince you that jam is the best spread. That flavour in your mouth is sweet to taste! That no one can hold back. Michaela 2MD

Butter is the best on toast because it tastes good and makes the toast smooth. Oscar 2MD

Toast is yum but what spread is best? Well i believe butter and Vegemite because it has a great taste and the butter melts the Vegemite so it is buttery. Jacob 2MD

Jam is better than vegemite because jam has fruit in it and fruit is healthy. Jam has more flavour and it’s really sweet! Aria 2W

I think everyone should have vegemite on toast because vegemite tastes salty and jam is super sweet! Vegemite is also more healthy! Harper 2W
