Term 3 Week 8
The fun just does not stop at FHS. Week 8 has once again kept us all busy with all the things that happen in a school and on top of that we have had our school production running. It takes a lot of work and dedication to get a school production to happen and we need to say a big thank you to Sara-Jane and Skye who have been working with our students since Term 1 on making the show happen. Congratulations to all the students who were involved in every aspect of the show, from the directing and staging to the performing and lighting, you have all learnt so much from the experience that you will take with you forever.
As if that wasn't enough this week also saw the launch of our brand new 2027 revamped curriculum, also the culmination of work that began back in Term 1. I will be sending a compass post this afternoon with our subject handbook which will help students determine which subjects they want to be selecting for next year.
Our Year 9s were out on Tuesday getting a taste of what it is like behind the wheel of a car at their Driver's Ed excursion and today our Year 10s have been completing interviews for entry into our Vocational Major Program. And our progress reports have been finalised in preparation for Three Way Conferences next week.
Looking ahead to next week
Monday 7th: the Junior Debate team are planning for their next debate and Games Club is running at lunchtime
Tuesday 8th: Subject Selection opens in Advisory session. RUOK day is happening with events running in the afternoon and then, later that night Live@Wurun is on - Our big yearly musical showcase for our music students. Come along and Rock Out.
Wednesday 9th: Three Way Conferences 10:30 - 5:30. Bookings will be open until Tuesday at 3pm. If you haven't booked yet you can do so via Compass.
